JESUS IS...

JESUS is more than you could ever need,
He's more than you could ever see or imagine,
He didn't come to be when he came into this world
Has been in existence even before the beginning began
And has been together with God the Father ever since till His birth
But, necessity was placed on Him to have an earthly record;
therefore, He was given an assignment
An assignment that could only be carried out successfully
by flesh and blood; but He was a Spirit
Then, he had to come down here and have a life as a man
He needed to be present amidst us.
His presence is presents
And it’s His presence that presents preciousness to a world of peasants.
He loves the world and I love His Word
Because the Word became flesh and in His flesh;
He demonstrated the Word to the world
I’m telling you today, Jesus is something more;
He’s something great;
“For unto us a child is born; unto us a Son is given
and the government shall be upon His shoulder;
and His name shall be called;
Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
We rejoice because he was given birth to,
And in His birth; we have hope of the come Saviour
The concept of His birth too complex;
His birth; UNDENIABLE, because it fulfilled prophesies
His birth; UNFATHOMABLE, an angel introduced His coming
His birth; UNEXPLAINABLE, because He never really was a result of an intercourse
His birth; UNTHINKABLE, because He was named by Heaven
His birth; UNIMAGINABLE, because a star announced His birth
His birth; UNATTAINABLE, he was worshiped and given gifts as he was conceived
His birth; UNSTOPPABLE, a whole generation of boys were killed because of Him
His birth; UNDENIABLE, a whole country was disturbed at His announcement
All these happenings further represented His immortal unique nature.
And when Jesus hit the scene, He changed the scenery;
and met diversity with serenity;
I don’t care who’s president;
         I have a King who’s the King of kings
I don’t care who owns the riches of the globe;
        My Jesus has more wealth with more ruby on His robe
I don’t care who’s the strongest or the fastest;
        Nothing matches the creator of the universe in His immortal infinite status
So let it be understood that I don’t worship man;
I worship Jesus
And if you wanna label me, please call me a Jesus freak.
Jesus is more than you could ever need;
He’s a father to the orphan; a shelter for the homeless
A hiding place for the abused;
And an anchor for our storms;
He gladly embraced tragedy so we can live in His presence of majesty…
And if you wanna know Him, you don’t have to wait;
He stands at the narrow path with a key to the gate;
You only need to reach out and embrace His grace
Rejoice! all you nation; He is born
He is conceived; rejoice! all you people
His name is JESUS! JESUS!! JESUS!!!
                          Salami Oluwaseun saying Merry Christmas to you all.

THE QUALITY OF A CHRISTIAN

                                THE QUALITY OF A CHRISTIAN
There is this statement that i have always known to be true, constant and pragmatic; and I've come to a realization of its importance to every  man who is "a Christian". This is the saying,
"If your Christianity will not cost you, then it's of no worth-Utterly worthless-"
I'm thinking u did not really understand what that sentence meant; maybe because you haven't even heard of it before, but give a little time to read on as i elucidate on what that sentence is really talking about. My article is not aimed at telling you who a Christian is, or what you must do as a Christian; But rather what qualifies you to really be able to call yourself a Christian, and how to continue in your Faith (so you can last in it till eternity). This that i want to share with you is not something very plain to everyman.i.e its not always easily noticed by anyone in any aspect of life. But do well by reading on understandably.

For every situation in life, and for everything man desires, he must have first done something else(anything), so that the desire he/she has can be reached or actualized. Everyone, even the still crawling baby has a desire at heart and to achieve that desire; must always also do something first. The reality is that for everyone who wants something, who desires anything whatsoever, or has planned something, such person must first have to do another thing; only then can he really get what he wants. Now, what is this "another thing" that always comes as the first piece of puzzle in achieving something? It is SACRIFICE. Note: This "sacrifice" being considered in this article is not "sacrifice as a substance", but rather "sacrifice as a process". Now take for example the story of Abraham and Isaac; at first, Isaac was to be the sacrificial lamb(in this instance, he was to be the substance/offering of sacrifice. But the whole process in itself is "sacrifice-an act-".

To shed more light, I define sacrifice as "a letting go of something, because of greater or other thing(s) which you desire"i.e "placing less importance on one thing in favour of something else". We all definitely have separate definitions we might attach to the word SACRIFICE; but the dictionary defines it as "the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do something else". Though we might not know it always, but everything in life, every situation, every desire, no matter how unreasonable that thing might seem; it has involved a sacrifice of another thing in one way or the other. Note once again; the sacrifice this article is addressing is not the material or substance being given up, but rather the whole process itself (SACRIFICE). Though, in going through the process of sacrifice, the substance been given up cannot be overlooked; but lets focus more on the whole process of sacrifice instead.
Be it a politician who sacrificed his humanity, by involving himself in rituals to attain to his position, or a student who sacrifices his sleep (by burning midnight candle) so as to fully prepare for his exams or an industry that sacrifices the health of everyone by burning harmful fuels regularly to get their products done or a woman who gives up her comfort in order to produce offsprings, or a Christian who sacrifices this world and its desires for eternity with CHRIST, or rather someone who does not believe Christ/unbeliever who is silently and unknowingly sacrificing heaven for pleasures of this world. Note that word "silently". I can keep sighting instances, but then this article will not come to an end.
Everyman, either rich or poor, big or small involves himself in this process called SACRIFICE. In everything of life, this process(sacrifice) will always be involved. That's final, that's total. If you think otherwise, I'll only ask you to check through that situation that just happened in your life again, you will realize that this process was involved to get ththat result you got; even if it comes down to an example such as "sacrificing your time". Moreso, as you are reading this article, unknowingly you are sacrificing something else; even if it be your time; you are sacrificing something.
Then, my charge is this, ensure that for whatever you involve yourself in the process SACRIFICE, it is something worthwhile and what will eventually yield a positive end result. Students sacrifice your time to study diligently daily, so your exams can yield excellent results. Sacrifice those friends that will mar you, and attach yourself to those that will make you. Involve in meetings that will better prepare you and build you for a bright future, than once that will only give you teenage enjoyment. Ladies sacrifice the enjoyment (youthful relationship) and lust from men now (no matter how much it might be rampant), so you can better be prepared and kept for a glorious future. Parents sacrifice some out of your worktime to spend more time with your children so they can be brought up as diligent sons and daughters.
Now i look through it and i concluded that "if your Christianity also will not cost you, then its not worth it". If you have not given up something ththat you really desire to kekeep because of your faith, then it's not worth calling a faith at all; it only is a joke; it has no worth. If circular things, things you do everyday can involve sacrificing and your Christianity (your faith) cannot cause you to give up some things, then you are still just joking around. From my little understanding, before you can even first call yourself a Christian, then you must have first sacrificed this world.i.e let-go off this world. Not just by mere saying it, but by acting it as your life. Ask yourself this question, what are you looking for in Christianity? For what(why) do you continue to daily associate yourself as a Christian? What's the end result of your being in the faith brother? Such questions, before answering require deep reasoning. Then according to tge simple definition of sacrifice, to get heaven, to reign eternally in heaven(which invariably is a good thing), we must sacrifice something. In general, all i know Christian's must for their faith sacrifice is THIS WORLD.

Now maybe this will help you understand this point better; the bible recorded something about the disciples in Matthew 418-22. For Simon Peter and Andrew, The Lord Jesus met them fishing (what they loved to do best); all their lives, they had done fishing and were very good fishermen. But the bible recorded that when the call was made for them "to follow" Jesus; at once, they left their nets and followed HIM. I dont know how Jesus successfully persuaded  this ones to make such a sudden untimed decision, but i know that they never regretted that decision. One thing i noticed is that for them to follow Jesus, they dropped something, they had to let something go so they can have a single focus of heart with the Lord Jesus. This i know is that the Holy scripture laid an emphasis on the disciples "leaving" their nets behind (that's sacrifice). This is to emphasize that following Jesus wholeheartedly will require you to let go off things you are attached to which can easily let you be left behind as you chase a consistent walk with the Lord Jesus. I ask myself, can't they be followers of Jesus and still be fishermen (regular at fishing); but "NO", following Jesus required that they give-up what they cherished most; what they had used their lives for
In addition, the sons of Zebedee, according to verses 21 and 22 "left their boat and their Father" to follow Jesus. Why is the bible emphasizing that these ones left something when they heard the call of Jesus. Why didn't the bible just say "Jesus called them and they followed Him". I think for the Bible to put it this way, then there is an importance attached to giving up something for a LIFE WITH JESUS.
Yes you have given your life to Jesus Christ and even moreso you call yourself a Christian; but still you cherish the way you normally talk, you still enjoy the company of those bad (not heaven-bound) friends, you still want to continue dressing (worldly pattern, dresses that do not represent you as a worshipper of Christ) like you always did before the call from Jesus; you still desire to keep that unholy relationship (one not directed by heaven), your faith has not caused you to sit down, take your time and study the bible daily, you only want to just stay amidst the majority of so-called Christians; to be plain with you, you aren't following Jesus yet. And infact, your claim to be a Christian does not worth it.
As has been clarified already, all things come-up as a result of a particular sacrifice that has been made either knowingly or unknowingly, a sacrifice must have occurred. My message is this; to truly and whole-heartedly follow Jesus, you just have to give up a lot of things (things regarding this world). Because it never is truly possible to focus on two things, though you can know two things, but u can't be as good in the two; and to be better in one, you focus more, give more time, sacrifice all what it takes; just so you can really be good in that one thing. This the truth, if you desire to focus on heaven aand eternity with Christ, then you have to do as the disciples did. Immediately drop your nets (whatsoever it might be that negates you as a kingdom chaser); only then can you truly focus on Christ Jesus.
Another important thing to note is this; what you might even have to sacrifice may not be something sinful or a bad attitude; it might just be what separates you from God; in the sense that you have given it more precious time than your relationship with God (maybe love for money, or your gadget, or talking, or sleeping). It's not until that thing is sinful, as long as your single gaze is not your faith, as long as you are two within yourself, then it has to go.
On that faithful day when Christ called those disciples, a transformation occurred in them, they were changed from fish-fishers to men-fishers. Sacrifice instigates change. When you decide to let-go that your haphazard way of talking and you allow your speech to be seasoned with grace, those around you will notice the change, your friend will notice the change when you give yourself to daily study of the word and your regular prayer. Sacrifice in this case changes your orientation; a change from one form to another.
Now, you may wonder; "what is my gain if i sacrifice all this now? Why should i sacrifice my youthful enjoyment just for something I'm not too sure about?". You may even be the type silently asking in your heart; "if i drop this my way of life -which actually i enjoy, and feels real- what's in it for me? Well listen to this, the bible says in Luke 1829-30 that;
 "I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life." (NIV)
Waoh! Double portion reward, for anyone who is ready to sacrifice for the sake of the kingdom; for anyone who is ready to sacrifice all else, so you can stand in your faith and have God as your only focus. The greatest reward for any man is ETERNITY with CHRIST, but just like that bible verse says, there is a reward in this life also. For those that will neglect the enjoyment of this world (mostly letting go those things you cherish but won't help you have a focused life with Christ, there is a reward that awaits you. But note; only when you SACRIFICE ALL FOR JESUS.

As i conclude, if you noticed that verse very well, it mentioned the most cherished things (home, wife, brothers, parents) of any man, or who can cherish anything more than his own Mother or Father. This telling you that you will need to sacrifice also the best things you desire, the things you cannot easily let-go. To expantiate this point, let me take you through the very common verse of John 3:16.- "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (NIV). The bible emphasized Jesus' relationship with God the Father using the phrase "one and only Son". If you look inward that verse very well, you'll see the bible placing a strong emphasis on the Son Jesus being God's one and only. This telling us that God sacrificed His best for our redemption, for our getting back into a relationship with him after the fall of the first man (Adam). Moreso, according to that phrase, God sacrificed all He had for the salvation and cleansing of your soul and mine. Then let me tell you, God also expects you to give-up your best and all; not just things you hardly cherish or hold dear, but your all and the best; ONLY THEN CAN YOUR CHRISTIANITY (YOUR FAITH) BE WORTH IT.

WHO "A CHRISTIAN" REALLY IS...

WHO REALLY IS A CHRISTIAN?
A “Christian” is a person that is CHRIST-LIKE, one who also can be called CHRIST. My simple definition might not in any way tally with yours, but I will like it if you follow me on as I open to you a revelation. We call ourselves believers, child of God, man of God(MOG), woman of God, pastor, reverend, preacher, teacher, apostles, prophets, evangelists, bishops, presidents of fellowships, church/fellowship executive, and on! and on!! and on!!!. But the truth of the matter is, we (so called Christians) give ourselves to be called this different titles. My writing is not to downgrade or write-off this titles; I dare not even do that because they are titles that the Word of God speaks of in Ephesians 411, but my own wailing is with the basis of every man practising the religion of Christianity. This basis I write on is the very common title/name we all call ourselves, which is that of being called a Christian. Many nowadays declare themselves to be a Christian when posed with the simple and common question; “What is your religion”. We reply “I am a Christian, my religion is Christianity”. As I write, I speak to you reading this article, every human outside there (that carries the name-tag “Christian”), and also to myself, that this name we call everyone that goes to church on Sundays be checked into very well so that many will stop calling themselves what they are not.

The question I ask myself is “Who is a Christian?”, “If you call yourself a Christian, why have you referred to yourself by that precious name?” Is it a person that goes to church on Sundays but constantly misses weekday services that’s referred to as a Christian? Is it a man who because his parents, grandparents, great-grandparents go by that precious name, then he also wakes up one day and calls himself a Christian? Is it a pastor who can move a crowd and people appreciate the anointing of God in His life but Heaven does not recognize Him, that’s called a Christian? etc. Those are some of the questions that’s always being silently asked in my heart but have you ever wondered “If I call myself a Christian, who then am I and who then is a Christian?” Hmmm, how powerful these two very important questions are to a believer who has heaven (eternal life) as aim. You alone have the answer to the first of those two questions, but I will admonish you read on as I briefly demystify the second question which says “who is a Christian?”
Acts 11:26
He found Saul and brought him to Antioch, where they met with the church for a whole year and taught many of its people. There in Antioch the Lord's followers were first called Christians. [CEV]
As believers in Christ Jesus, we are most times too forward or too quick to call ourselves a Christian anytime and anywhere. Let’s go into the Word of God together to check this as in Acts 1126, the name “Christian” was first called the Disciples of Christ Jesus at Antioch. Note this, the Disciples didn’t refer to themselves as Christians from the above verse. THEY WERE CALLED CHRISTIANS. The people at Antioch looked at them, and after checking through their lives and seeing the glory of God radiate glamorously, they concluded that this one’s must be little Christs’ (they are Christ like). Some will argue that the Disciples were called Christians here only on the platform of their teaching the Word, but I say that’s not all to it. If the Disciples spent a year in Antioch as the bible explained, then does that mean they only taught for the whole year; NO, there must be much more reasons to why they were called Christians than just their explicative teaching of the Word. For me, when I encountered this verse, I wondered why this one’s specifically -of all that were located in Antioch at that time- were called CHRISTIANs. Then I got an understanding that the people of Antioch-during the times of Jesus-must have seen Jesus Christ (His deeds, attitude and everything about Him), and on seeing the Disciples also, they found A MATCH, they saw a likeness; not a mirror image (which is always inverted and opposite to the original view), but they saw the Disciples as CHRIST (Christ was seen in them).

The singular thing that bothers me as I write is this, why is it we call ourselves believers, but people always have to ask us ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN? Shouldn’t we be ashamed, or are you not also bothered as you read this article? I call myself a Christian, but when I get somewhere, I need to still be asked “Which is your Religion?” In fact, it is a disgrace to the body of Christ altogether, and a disgrace on all those outside who only carry the tag of “Christian” around but are not in themselves at all a Christian. For God sake, the Disciples didn’t call themselves Christians, they were studied so much that to those in Antioch, they were Christs’. Let me reveal to you, the truth is that people must call you a Christian, a pastor, an evangelist, a teacher of the Word, a preacher etc, before we can be recognized by heaven to be truly one. Then, it is as simple as this; to carry the name-tag “Christian”, you must be called it. I know really well that it is impossible for us to inscribe on our foreheads that we are Christians so that when people see us, they can call us a Christian; but there is an inscription that does not need to be outward that can make you be declared. We shouldn’t declare ourselves to be a Christian, we are to be declared. Remember, Jesus said a word to His Disciples in Matthew 514, “Ye are the light of the world”. If you must be a Christian, then people around you don’t need to ask you before they know. Christians are light wherever they find themselves. They bring light to overcome darkness anywhere and everywhere. Their light is not the hidden type, in fact theirs is one that can never be hidden because they are “a city set on a hill”. And remember Jesus Christ in them is this Light and darkness cannot overcome/understand Him
.

The question that follows that needed to be answered is this; “if you are not called by people around you by the name Christian until you declare yourself, then what could be the reason”. Please before you read on, ask yourself that question. Don’t you think it is because your life does not match that of Christ Jesus and as a result you cannot be declared a Christian? Know this, the world around (the people of Antioch) deeply know that the life of Christ Jesus was one that was without SIN and therefore, until they see also a life as that one of Christ, they will not declare you a Christian. The issue is that the world knows you to be one that involves in fornication (relationships: boy-friendism and girl-friendism outside God’s own command). You are the type that steals but rather says “Even God knows I need this thing”, the type that lies (and yet, you say “I was just joking”), the type that has filled with another thing (e.g Money) his heart instead of God, the type that does not love His neighbor instead thinks bad about him/her and so on . The truth is that you only call yourself a Child of God, heaven does not recognize you as one; even those around you do not recognize you as one and so they cannot call you a Christian.
But I have a good news for you, 2 Timothy 2:19 says
“Nevertheless the foundation of the Lord standeth sure, the Lord knoweth them that are His. And let everyone that nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.
Depart from your sins and move unto righteousness, live as one with heaven in aim and let those things (sin) that contrast The Almighty God’s command be far from your life. Colossians 32. These were the attributes that qualified the disciples to be called CHRIST-like. God loves you and he does not want to see you end your life wrongly, remember He created you, so he desires the best for you. Jeremiah 2911. Change your life now and move on to HOLINESS IN CHRIST. Then see if your light/life (Christ’s life in you) will not speak wherever you go even without you uttering a word.

This is my message altogether; you are never a Christian until you are recognized to be one and you are called that name by people around you who see your life to be in sameness with that of Christ Jesus (Christ-like), then can you boldly carry the nametag “CHRISTIAN” or “I AM A CHRISTIAN”.
BE A GOD CHASER! BE A GOD CHASER!! BE A GOD CHASER!!! BE A GOD CHASER!!!!

DEFINITION OF ALL THINGS

DEFINITION OF ALL THINGS
As a child, I always wondered and thought; what exactly is the beginning of all things (humans, trees, animals, houses, even the Earth itself)? I thought and thought and thought within myself, but all to no conclusion. This same question is still always being asked silently in the heart of many (both children and adults). There are different theories as to the beginning of the world. Religion, science, cultures, and so on has in diverse ways explained the beginning of the world to the best of their understanding. An example, is the supposed BIG-BANG THEORY which talks about the universe as we know it starting with a small singularity, then inflating over the next 13.8 billion years to the cosmos we know today. Not to write much of that, but I wonder what is the use of living at all when creation, as explained by that theory, is in itself a mistake. I told myself; that could not have been the start of all things and that could not be a definition of all things. It’s important to note at this stage as you read on that I am not merely writing on “creation”, but the DEFINITION of all things. I mean from what (creation), through what and to what are all things. These three powerful but rarely asked questions defines every human being. Actually not just human beings, but also animals, trees, inanimate things, and in-fact all things
.

As I grew up, I understood that very few really ask themselves this questions, and as a result have defined themselves as they deemed fit. Yeah you can do that. You can define yourself, but still, you are in the dark. Notice that those three phrasal questions end with the word “what”. Then that explains to me and you that the “what” could mean a thing (inanimate), animal, human being, spirit, in-fact it will mean whatever each of us individually define it to be. I may decide to make my own “what” an animal, you may decide to make yours a spirit, but the message is that whatever we make/define/call it to be, that is what defines us. Take it or leave it my own “what” is GOD ALMIGHTY. I don’t know about u but I hope that even if you have defined wrongly before, that as you read this article, the Holy-Spirit will minister to your heart and show you. I will use a bible verse as a rider as I unravel this “WHAT” that many have rarely realized before now. Open your bible now to the book of Romans 1136.
“Romans 11:36 For from Him, through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory for ever! Amen!”
He is the beginning and the end; he has been even before the beginning began; He started the beginning; He is the Lord God almighty, the MAKER of all things. Then I grew much older and came in contact with the above verse, which helped to enlighten and explain more, the attribute of God which says “he is the beginning and the end”. The bible says in John 11 that “in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God”. I complete the first phrase in Romans and say “For from Him are all things”. The explanation tells us that 1] He existed before the beginning started; 2] He is the beginning; 3] He was before the beginning. Most importantly, it explains that He started all things and every other thing came to be from His word. Let me explain it better to you in the context of a mother carrying a baby for 9 months and at the end of the 9 months, giving birth to the baby. He (God) gave birth to all things from His word. Seems to be a mystery right? But to save I and you from headache, I will end this part by saying “Jesus Christ is the Word”.
Moving on to the second phrase in the same sentence quoted in Romans, I complete it by saying “For through Him are all things”. This telling us that He is the vessel by which all things emanate/come from. The word “through” in this context is synonymous to “by”. Therefore we can say “by him are all things”; By Him have all things (you, your family, and your friends… all-things). It further explains that he is the beginning of all things. Do you understand the message I am passing across? Okay let me simplify it with this words; He is the FIRST of all things that constitute the universe; He is the STARTER; He himself is the BEGINNER of the BEGINNING. To simplify it further; He EXISTED! After (through) His EXISTENCE, all other things EXISTED (Hebrews 210). To see what I am describing well in another verse of the scripture, read Colossians 117. I sincerely hope you understand now as we move on to the third phrase in the same sentence quoted in Romans above, I complete the phrase by saying “For to Him are all things”. It explains that all things that have been created by Him and from His word “ends at him”. Note, the verse does not say all things “end with him”, no, it says all things “end to Him”. Yes I know it seems illogical right, how can all things end to him? But know this, He has no end, having started all things, how can all things end to him? But know this, He has no end, having started all things. This explaining to us that He does not end; but rather He is the end of all things. You agree with me that all things on earth have an end (including the powers, principalities, presidents, rulers in high places and so on). Be it death or on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ (the day of rapture). It is a certainty, all things must end. But He does not end. Because in Him will all things end.

Also the generality of the verse speaks to all Christians that as God is our creator we should not just know Him as the creator, but we should believe that He is our creator. He has authored our, therefore we will help ourselves by living according to His plan for our lives. Through Him, we have come to be as being evident in creation when he breathe in us the breath of life. He gave us a part of Himself and “to Him” we will all end either you are CHRIST-LIKE or NOT. Remember, He gave the life; He breath in you, He breath in me, He owns all. Therefore let us live this time that we have not as though it will never end, but rather in every moment of life remember that our lives ends to Him and not with Him. Therefore Romans 12 explains to us how we can live, so we will be convinced we are living to Him (now this means towards, this means living so as to get to His standard), and not against (moving away from)Him.

As a conclusion, I am convinced and assured that there is a LIFE after this short one that we all have. Why? Because He doesn’t end, but rather He is the end of all things. Therefore, live your life; knowing you are from Him, that your everyday life is through Him, and most importantly that all your sojourn in life ends at Him.

EASTER! EASTER!! EASTER!!!-WHY?

EASTER! EASTER!! EASTER!!!-WHY?
When its Christmas season, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ into the world. And also in the same manner, during EASTER, we celebrate the DEATH and RESURRECTION of Christ (two important keynotes).  And the very truth is that these our celebrations are a means to always make sure that we are reminded that on a particular day, Christ Jesus entered into the world of man and on another day, he departed this world (this, His resurrection confirms to us). Almost everyone understands that His coming to the world was not just so He can come at a particular time<as everyone else> and also leave at a particular time <death, which is also a necessity for every flesh>, but His coming was an assignment (to save His people from their sins-Matthew 121) from the FATHER OF CREATION (God the father). So as to keep to the topic of our discussion, I will not write much of the birth of Jesus Christ. Time and space will constrain me from doing that, but I will write on His death and resurrection, which is the reason why EASTER is celebrated among us Christians.
Have you not wondered how mysterious it is, that every man that is given birth to is BORN to DIE. Yes that seem straight-forward and I know you are wondering why I had to write it so plain and without obscurity, but those three words sum up the truth. But to put it in a more regardful way, I say “Every man is born in a day and will also in a day bite the dust”. But, birth and death is not what we should ponder upon, but on what is done in that period of time/years between birth and death. If death is an inevitability as long as we are flesh and blood, then that means there is something that needed to be done/assignment before the time of death. You must know that the birth and death of our Lord Jesus Christ was an assignment just as I’ve said earlier, that’s why death could not hold him down. Death had no power over him (He is resurrection).
Jesus Christ our Lord said on the cross in what was His final statement in John 1930 “IT IS FINISHED”, signifying that His end was an end/a completion of something. And that thing is His assignment to die for the sins of the world. Now unlike us all that one day we will see death and our death does not really have an importance attached to it (except those that are still alive when the trumpet sounds), Jesus Christ came to the world for a reason and that reason was to DIE(which He humbly did). Yes, to die. But His death was necessary so that we can have LIFE. So let’s put it like this; HE DIED TO GIVE US LIFE (eternal life). I will like you very much now to open your bible to the book of Romans 5:12-21, which speaks of how LIFE was given to us through Christ Jesus. Please do read that so u can follow me in understanding. In plain English, that means we were dead before Christ’s intervention and he when he intervened by offering us life. Note verse 18-20 of that same chapter very well.
Are you celebrating Easter? Yes celebrate, rejoice because Christ death gave us life. But be conscious of this that the life being spoken of here is not laid on a platter of gold for you have. The simple truth is; He has done his on part by laying His life as an atonement for our sins, it is then our own duty to stretch out our hands and receive it. And what we are to do, to gain this life(eternity with Christ when HE comes), is to desist from our unrighteous ways of living(sin) and move on to righteousness, so His death will not be in vain over our lives. Let me open verse 19 and 21 to you;
19b]in the same way, they will all be put right with God as a result of the obedience of the man -21b]so also God’s grace rules by means of righteousness, leading us to eternal life through Christ our Lord (GNT).
So my dear, it is righteousness (I mean your own righteousness) that will lead you to that life [Eternal Life] with Christ. Or do you think the life being mentioned is just the normal/circular L-I-F-E. No it’s not. It’s ETERNITY WITH CHRIST. And that’s it about the death of Christ and its significance.
But before I drop my pen, it is significant that I write about THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST. Death must come to all flesh and when we die there’s no other chance to life. Only a breath was breathe into Adam and as a result, the bible says in Hebrews 927 that “it is appointed for men once to die, after this judgement”. Except though by miracle through God’s own power, a man that dies stays dead. But we do not worship man who die and stays dead, we worship Christ who died, resurrected, and wears a crown on His head. The mystery is; no man raised Christ by praying for Him, but the simple truth is DEATH HAD NO POWER OVER HIM AND COULD NOT HOLD HIM DOWN. HE ROSE UP, and he is seated at the right hand of God the Father. Therefore His resurrection was unavoidable and had a purpose.
Are you a Christian reading this? Are you joyous in celebrating the resurrection of Christ (Easter)? Are you celebrating in joy? Are you conscious that Christ resurrection had a significance? Do you know that significance? Are you standing upright in Christ? Are you truly a Christian or a religious person? Are you going to enjoy eternal life with Christ if He comes this instant? The latter set of questions are those we (Christians) should ask ourselves most importantly in this time of celebrating the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Have you asked yourself these questions? Let me quickly bring to your remembrance one of the significance of His resurrection as pertaining to our life’s here on this Earth.
One is that he resurrected so the Holy Spirit (the counsellor) can be sent to us Christians-John 167 and also His resurrection gives us the assurance that the prince of this world has been condemned-John 1610. Though there are a lot of significance as to Christ’s resurrection, but I realized that John 4:2b-3 is in my opinion one of the most important significance that we Christians must always put to note. It says “2b] I go to prepare a place for you-3] and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, ye may be also <KJV>”. He has resurrected to make a place (a room/house) for you and me, and He said He is coming back. The big question is “WILL HE FIND YOU READY AND WORTHY OF THE ROOM HE HAS PREPARED?” I have asked myself this question, you also ponder on this question and give yourself an answer. It’s not actually your answer that matters, but what you do with your LIFE.
Yes let’s celebrate Easter, lets rejoice that He’s resurrected, because He is our Father. But one thing He is silently whispering to us as we celebrate His resurrection is to make our life right with him, so that we can be worthy owners of the room he has prepared on the final day. Are you one that’s still dead due to Adam’s sin, live a Holy and acceptable life by keeping God’s commandment so you can receive the LIFE he brings to you. I pray that you and I will be worthy heirs of his kingdom when He comes IJN. AMEN.
In simple words;

  •  Christ died to save us from our sins, and lays before us an option of LIFE.
  •  He is risen and as a result is preparing a place for us. So that if we live holy and receive this LIFE, we might reign with Him in ETERNITY.

Happy Easter to you all my readers, still I say;

I AM A CHRISTIAN

I AM A CHRISTIAN
A Christian you call yourself, I also call myself a Christian. Also one who goes to church on a Sunday morning and ends that same Sunday in a club-house (committing fornication) if asked, will reply with the same phrase “I am a Christian”. Therefore the question goes thus; WHY ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN or better still “WHY DO YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN”. Time and space will constrain me from starting from the simple (yet arduous) question; WHO IS A CHRISTIAN. But nonetheless let’s check why you are a Christian.
When I stormed upon this verse of the scripture (2nd Corinthians 416-18-NIV), I had something to hold on to (i.e. a reason) for which I am straining to be CHRIST-LIKE. And after this light came to me, I confidently and audaciously sat a room-mate of mine down and illuminated him on why I am in the faith. Listen, the mystery goes; before a circle is drawn, a dot started it. Now say u are asked by anyone who is eager to know; WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSE. Good!!! You are reading this post; I challenge you, WHY ARE YOU IN THE FAITH (why are you a Christian).
Do not lose heart, keep running, keep striving, and keep on standing for the truth. To the world (people around, family, friends, relatives) I am wasting away. They say and think this way because they do not understand and they lie in the dark, yet what they do not know is that I am being renewed as each day unfold. They lack sight, they cannot see the inward <the lord does not look at what man looks at, the man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart>. They lack sight.
But I know that I am being renewed, that all I am doing is not in vain, there lies for me a crown of glory in heaven. Know this, my light and momentary troubles (this is how it seems to the outside world, though I know in myself that I am storing for myself treasures in heaven) are achieving for me an ETERNAL glory that by far outweighs/supersedes them all(the troubles I seemingly am going through).
As I have explained, it is significant for anyone who calls himself/herself a Christian to go through this seemingly great troubles. Christ himself (our mediator) passed through this. Note the word LIGHT <when I checked the dictionary, it simplified this as 1] of little importance 2] easily endurable> also MOMENTARY <lasting a very short time>. Therefore, my word to you is be strong and steadfast in the LORD.
So you see that I am not wasting away. Therefore, I do not lose heart/depressed. I am not drawn back. This is what I do constantly, I fix my eyes not on what is SEEN (this world, everything in it, everything it offers) but on what is UNSEEN (the eternal glory, Christ Jesus & eternity with him).
As you read this post and as I bring this article to a conclusion, this I want you to always keep to heart; what is seen is TEMPORARY (only lasts a moment), but what is unseen is not only PERMANENT (lasts forever), it is ETERNAL. 1st John 115 says “The world (what is seen) and its desires (everything it offers) pass away, but the man who does the will of GOD (he who does not lose heart) lives forever.
My prayer is that after you go through this article, you will also have perceived why you are in the faith, and you will be able to confidently convince anyone who poses the question to you: WHY DO YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN.

PHANTASM IN A NEW YEAR

IN A NEW YEAR
New year! New year!! New year!!!. What exactly is NEW YEAR? In it’s simplicity, changing from one year( a previous year), unto another one(present year). It is not just a normal/natural phenomenon that you and I have seen this year. You agree with me that the things of the Spirit cannot be explained naturally, that is why the cross-over night for some people will have seem natural. Also, many began 2015 hale & healthy but many finished 2015 in hospitals; many began 2015 with a bright thought ahead for the year, but their expectations were never met; many even made decisions to follow GOD at the start of the year 2015 but never ended the year with God; many also started the year not even believing that God exists, but before the year ended, their eyes were opened to know that the creator of Heaven and Earth; so also many started the year 2015 on the hospital bed, but ended the year hale & healthy; In one sentence, 2015 had it’s good part for all of us and it had in it it’s sour part(note the word used, “sour” not “bad”) for each for us (though sour but now in the past) but one thing is that 2015 has come and gone and never to come again. We can only look through the past year, we cannot go into it again.
But let’s be sincere with ourselves, 2015 is only different from 2016 because 2015 is old and 2016 is new. We are all sending messages upon messages and also ourselves receiving HAPPY NEW YEAR greetings without ever sitting down and gazing upon our inner selves and ask: ”what is old that can become new?”; not only in one part of your life, but rather in every ramification of your life; not only in the 2016 but rather a long lasting and effective change.
Listen, I am not just talking about a RESOLUTION, I am talking about something you will put your heart to doing. Some do well by putting down resolutions for a new year, but never fulfil such resolutions. Many have bright ideas for the year but never manifest such ideas. WHY?
They never understood that they made it to the new year, not because others too made it, but because He who is responsible for the creation of every creature has something better (a better reason) for keeping them alive amongst all to see this year. They have always thought in their hearts; ”LIFE IS A PRODUCT OF CHANCE”, which in the very truth, LIFE IS BY GRACE. And for this reason, the creator (GOD) has a reason behind your being alive to see the start of this year.
Therefore, resolutions are not just it. The bible in ISAIAH 4318-19 tells us to forget the former things, God is doing a new thing. He is a making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. HEBREWS 1140 says “only together with us would God’s better plans for us be made perfect. I am not saying resolutions cannot be made and fulfilled, but I am particular about making resolutions not just because you want new things, but because you KNOW and BELIEVE that something greater has to happen and you won’t have seen it through to this year if it isn’t possible for those things to happen. He says in ISAIAH 558-9 that “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts”. And again He says in JEREMIAH 2911-12 that the thoughts he thinks towards you and me are of good and not of evil, to give us an expected end. My friend check these two verses well and u will see what I mean clearer.
Therefore seeing that u are reading my post, if you believe in the God I believe in, why don’t you sit down and before making any resolutions for this year that will not have God in it, think twice and have a word of prayer with your Creator. Call upon His name, He knows best. And only if you believe this will you walk in His will for you this year. Until letting His thoughts be your thought, then will you be able to say you have a resolution for this year. As for me, I have done this and I believe it is only His thoughts for me that I need as a RESOLUTION for this year. It is explained easy as these:
·         Call upon His name
·         Have a plan, but let your plan be His plan >commit to Him<
·         Believe (faith) in your creator
·         Stay in faith.
